Hematite

Chemical Formula: Fe₂O₃

Hematite is an iron oxide mineral with the ideal formula Fe2O3 and is one of the world’s principal iron ore minerals. It occurs in numerous geological environments and is especially important in iron formations and deposits enriched through alteration or weathering. High-grade hematite ores have historically been particularly valuable because of their high iron content and comparatively straightforward beneficiation.
